Overview

The University of Nevada, Reno delivers programs of study in behavior analysis at off-campus locations around the world under the sponsorship of human service agencies, businesses and other organizations. The aim of these programs is to provide opportunities for training in behavior analysis in regions where such is unavailable or inaccessible to fully employed persons seeking career advancement. Training is delivered face-to-face at sponsor’s worksites, on-line, or by a combination of these modes of delivery as suited to sponsors’ interests and students’ needs. Three Satellite Programs in Behavior Analysis are available, including: Masters of Arts in Behavior Analytic Psychology, the Board Certified Behavior Analyst Didactic Curriculum, and the Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst Didactic Curriculum.

 

Program History

The University of Nevada, Reno has been delivering Satellite Programs in Behavior Analysis for over a decade. During this time, training pursuant to the Master’s Degree and BCBA curricular eligibility have been delivered under the sponsorship of human service agencies in Illinois (Trinity Services), Florida (Behavior Analysis, Inc.), Missouri (Judevine Center for Autism), California (Center for Autism and Related Disorders), and Toronto, Canada (Behavior Institute)  BCABA curricular eligibility programs are currently underway in California (Center for Autism and Related Disorders) and Nevada (Washoe County School District). Most of the students completing these programs of study have pursued certification by the BACB and are now practicing behavior analysis with the benefit of this credential.
