Ramona Houmanfar, Ph.D.
Dr. Ramona Houmanfar joined the faculty in the Department
of Psychology at UNR in 1998. She is currently an
Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at UNR
and serves as the Director of the Behavior Analysis Program
at UNR, senior co-chair of the Association for Behavior
Analysis, trustee of the Cambridge Center for Behavioral
Studies, Chair of the Organizational Behavior Management
Section of Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies,
Associate Editor of the Journal of Organizational Behavior
Management and an editorial board member of Behavior and
Social Issues. Dr. Houmanfar is also the former
Director of the Organizational Behavior Management Network
and President of the Nevada Assocation for Behavior
Analysis.
Dr. Houmanfar has published dozens of articles and
chapters, delivered more than 100 presentations at regional,
national, and international conferences in the areas of rule
governance, communication networks, organizational change,
cultural psychology, and bilingual repertoire analysis and
learning. She has published two co-edited books titled
“Organizational Change” (Context Press) and "Understanding
Complexity in Organizationa" (Taylor & Francis
Group). Dr. Houmanfar's entrepreneurial as well as
Co-PI activities on a federal grand have generated over
$1,000,000 during the last three years.

- Instructional Design: Applications associated with Personalized System of Instruction, broad-scale training programs in educational settings.
- Cultural Psychology: Analysis of cultural phenomena such as religion and morality.
- Experimental Analysis of Human Behavior: Communication networks and verbal networks in organizations, rule governance, cooperation, team communication, cooperative decision making, problem solving and bilingual repertoire & second language acquisition.
