An Introduction to Intensive Early Behavior Treatment for Young Children with Autism Abstract: This three-hour workshop is given to describe four key components of intensive early behavior treatment (IEBT) for young children with autism. These four components are (1) parenting the young child with autism, (2) establishing and maintaining a home-based program, (3) developing school readiness, and (4) achieving success in the regular education classroom. Practical matters are the main concern, introduced and illustrated with real-world examples for each component. (3 BACB CEUs).

Workshop 2: Functional Analytic Psychotherapy: An Introductory Workshop Abstract: Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP) is an approach to psychotherapy that directly brings the concepts of functional analysis and radical behaviorism into the psychotherapy setting to help create intense relationship-focused therapy relationships. In this workshop, attendee's will be introduced to the basic concepts of FAP. In addition, compassion, empathy, courage, love, longing, values, and their roles in the conduct of psychotherapy will also be considered. (3 BACB CEUs)
