W. Larry Williams, Ph.D, BCBA
Larry Williams received his Ph.D in 1977 from the University of Manitoba, Canada under the supervision of Garry Martin & Joseph Pear. In 1978 after receiving his degree, Dr. Williams ventured to South America to the Federal University of Sao Carlos, Brazil, where he designed, taught in, and chaired the very 1st Brazilian Masters degree program in Special Education with Carolina Bori, and others until 1984. A year later, Dr. Williams traveled back to Canada to become the Director of Family & Community behavioral services at Surrey Place Centre, Toronto Canada. As director, Dr. Williams oversaw treatment of approximately 1000 cases and trained / supervised 50 therapists until 1994. In 1995, Dr. Williams accepted his current position at the University of Nevada, Reno where he teaches several courses in both the undergraduate and graduate programs, directs the Person-centered Assessment Training & Habilitation (P.A.T.H.), and runs and active research laboratory. Dr. Williams was also recently appointed to Associate Chair of the Psychology Department at the University of Nevada, Reno
