The University has a new curriculum workflow program which replaces the old paper forms. Once completed and 'launched' into the system, the system will move your proposal through the various approval steps. Please see the information below on completing the new online forms.

Do you have any questions about which form to complete,  or do you need help with your submission? Do you need access to Curriculog to submit a proposal? Staff in the Office of the Provost and the Office of Admissions and Records can help. Call (775) 682-8076 or (775) 784-4710 or  Email us!

As a guest, you can view all proposals by going to https://unr.curriculog.com - no additional access is needed. It is best to use Firefox as your browser.

If you are ready to complete a proposal, go to Curriculog and login using your NetID. If you are unable to login using your NetID, you may need an account set up in the system. Contact 682-8076 or email ucc@unr.edu for account set up. Curriculog works best with Firefox as your browser, additionally, you should turn off the pop-up blocker as some functions will not work if pop-ups are blocked.

What kind of proposal do you want to submit?

Once logged into Curriculog, on the 'Proposals' tab, click  '+New Proposal'  to pull up the list of available online forms. Formerly, we had one form for all course changes, now we have dedicated forms for an assortment of changes. We now have program forms too.

Important Terminology/Functions

Launching - In order to move your proposal through the system, you will need to launch it. Once the proposal is complete with all attachments, click the Launch icon. If your launch is successful, you will get a verification window. If nothing happens, then the form has failed to launch. Usually this is due to missing information in a required field. Scroll through the form, you should see a warning in orange font that tells you what is missing. If you work on the proposal but do not finish it, it will be saved under your 'My Proposals' tab until you launch it. Launching is a two-step process. Once you have successfully launched the proposal, you need ot go back in and approve it. Only after you indicate your approval, will the proposal move up to the next level in the workflow.

Importing - Curriculog is linked to our online catalog. You can import the current course and program information into the proposal form and then make your adjustments.

Impact Report - When making a change to an existing course, you will need to run an impact report to make sure all instances of the course in the catalog are found. This will aid in determining if there will be any impacts from your change. The report can be run from the 'Reports'; tab at the top of the Curriculog page (opposite the login). Choose the most recent catalog for the report (may be labeled "External System"). Once you have run the impact report, keep it open so you can reference it while completing the form.

Approval Steps - Each proposal has a custom workflow which is detailed in the Approval Steps section, which opens on the right side of the screen when a proposal is selected.

General Information - Each proposal has a General Information section at the very beginning of the form. The information contained in this section can be very helpful in completing your proposal. The section also contains common links. Additionally, throughout the forms, some sections have additional information/instructions pertaining to that section.
