Human Development & Family Studies
Human Development and Family Studies offers a multidisciplinary graduate program that culminates in a Master of Science degree. Students are prepared for careers related to teaching, applied research, and the development, administration, and evaluation of programs serving individuals and families across the lifespan. The Master of Science (M.S.) graduate program is enriched by the opportunity to work closely with a faculty member. Research and teaching programs in the Department focus on current individual and family issues in the context of developing human potential, appreciating diversity, and empowering vulnerable populations. The broad range of interests and research specializations of the faculty enhance the opportunity for graduate students to develop individualized programs of study. Students work with a faculty mentor and may select from specializations such as: Early Childhood Development, Adolescent Development, Family Studies, Family Resource Management, and Adult Development and Aging.
