Justice Management
School of Social Research and Justice Studies
The Justice Management program provides an academic foundation for those seeking education or advancement in the varied fields associated with the administration of justice. It is the only degree program of its kind and is organized jointly by the University of Nevada, Reno; the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges; and the National Judicial College. Courses are provided by these cooperating institutions and the degree is conferred by the university. The program is also supported by the National Juvenile Court Services Association, the National Center for State Courtsā Institute of Court Management, the American Probation and Parole Association, the American Correctional Association, and the Child Welfare League of America.

College of Liberal Arts
The College of Liberal Arts contains the disciplines of the humanities and social sciences, as well as the School of the Arts and the new School of Social Research and Justice Studies.
A liberal arts education at the University of Nevada, Reno emphasizes inquiry, discovery and openness to new ideas and perspectives. Through intensive study of a major field and broad exposure to other disciplines, liberal arts students develop intellectual curiosity, research skills, eagerness to discuss difficult questions and the ability to define and solve complex problems.
