Behavior Analysis

Department of Psychology

The aim of the Program is to provide comprehensive training in behavior analysis, out of which more specialized basic, applied, and theoretical interests, may be developed. A balance of basic, applied, and theoretical training is sought.

Our faculty and students strive to:

  • Preserve the accumulated knowledge of behavior science by imparting it to others
  • Develop the science of behavior through the production of new knowledge
  • Contribute to the betterment of society by the application of this knowledge
  • Assure the viability of the profession through participation in its governance

The College of Liberal Arts contains the disciplines of the humanities and social sciences, as well as the School of the Arts and the new School of Social Research and Justice Studies.

A liberal arts education at the University of Nevada, Reno emphasizes inquiry, discovery and openness to new ideas and perspectives. Through intensive study of a major field and broad exposure to other disciplines, liberal arts students develop intellectual curiosity, research skills, eagerness to discuss difficult questions and the ability to define and solve complex problems.
