Anthropology

Anthropology Department

Anthropology is a social science that studies what it means to be human. It is the only social science that takes a holistic view of humanity — in other words, anthropologists are concerned with everything that is human, from biology to culture, from material culture to religion, from historical events to prehistoric sites. To be an anthropologist is to be involved in the excitement of studying our own species.
