Nursing
The bachelor’s program is designed to provide the high school graduate with the opportunity to obtain a baccalaureate degree in nursing. The bachelor’s degree program is the basic preparation for professional nursing practice and leadership positions in nursing. After completing the program, the graduate is qualified for nursing positions in public health agencies, schools, hospitals and other health-care settings. Nursing school graduates may also earn commissioned status in the military services, as well as admission to graduate education.

Division of Health Sciences
Through one-on-one treatment of people with health problems, undertaking medical research, and engaging in activities aimed at improving the health and well-being of whole populations, students, faculty and staff of the Division of Health Sciences strive to improve the quality of life of the people of Nevada. Emphasizing a multi-disciplinary approach, the Division of Health Sciences produces graduates across the spectrum of the health professions, provides comprehensive clinical care, broadens community health awareness and pursues collaborative academic programs and community partnerships.
