Mathematics
The bachelor’s degrees in mathematics have options for applied mathematics, discrete mathematics/operations research, statistics, or general study. The bachelor of arts degree provides a traditional liberal arts experience through a balanced course of study in the arts, humanities, foreign language, social and natural sciences. The bachelor of science degree is an "expanded major", which provides a more intense experience in mathematics, computing and science.

The College of Science is dedicated to helping students cultivate their scientific curiosities. The college emphasizes student-centered research experiences involving significant collaborations with professors, and places a high value on personal attention that students receive. The college offers degrees in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and statistics, and, through the Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering, geography, geological sciences and engineering, and mining engineering.
