Geology
Geology is an interdisciplinary science that integrates physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, geophysics, geology and modern technology in the study of Earth’s processes, environments and history. Geology graduates choose from a wide variety of careers in government agencies, industry, research and teaching. By selecting specific options, students may focus study in economic geology, environmental geology or a custom geology option that allows students and their advisors to design a curriculum to meet specific career goals. All three options provide rigorous background for graduate level studies.

The College of Science is dedicated to helping students cultivate their scientific curiosities. The college offers degrees in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and statistics, and, through the Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering, geography, geological sciences and engineering, and mining engineering.
