Applied Music
The Applied Music degree provides students with the experience necessary for a career in music performance. Students must successfully audition before the music faculty for entrance into the degree program and present a junior and senior recital.

The College of Liberal Arts contains the disciplines of the humanities and social sciences, as well as the School of the Arts and the new School of Social Research and Justice Studies.
A liberal arts education at the University of Nevada, Reno emphasizes inquiry, discovery and openness to new ideas and perspectives. Through intensive study of a major field and broad exposure to other disciplines, liberal arts students develop intellectual curiosity, research skills, eagerness to discuss difficult questions and the ability to define and solve complex problems.
