Research Interests

My research interests include experimental studies of plasmas and photon-interactions with atoms, molecules, ions and solids. These studies encompass fundamental properties of atomic and molecular collisions relevant to terrestrial, astrophysical and high energy density plasmas as well as structural properties of atomic and molecular ions and materials. Condensed matter studies use Raman and FTIR absorption spectroscopy to interrogate solids including metals, energy storage materials and polymers at high-pressures and temperatures as well as biologic materials.
