Received 2008 College of Liberal Arts Dean's Award for Teaching


Interests include aesthetics, ethics, and the philosophy of mind. He is the author of
A Cultivated Reason: An Essay on Hume and Humeanism (Penn State, 1999), and of articles in journals. He has been a Fellow of the Society for the Humanities at Cornell University; his recent work has been concerned with imagination and with taste.
