Students must be a graduate special or enrolled in a UNR graduate program and must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
A total of 12 graduate credits are required. Students must take one or two three-credit courses in each of two groups.
Topical Group Select one or two of the following three-credit courses:
Students may, with approval, substitute a 600- or 700-level independent study course, a selected topics course, or another course when the course treats topics in ethics or value theory.
Historical Group Select one or two three-credit 600-level courses treating one or more figures in the history of philosophy focusing on ethics, law, or politics, e.g., PHIL 620--Plato when focused on the Republic, PHIL 615--Kant when focused on the Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals, etc.
Students may with approval, sutstitute a 600- or 700-level independent study course, a selected topics course, or another course when the course treats one or more historical figures treating a topic in ethics, law, and politics.
