Visitor Parking

The visitor booth off of Center Street

The campus parking system is a self-supporting enterprise. We receive no state appropriations. State policy prohibits the use of tax dollars to support the system. Therefore, all parking expenses are paid from the fees paid by students and others who park here. Parking fees are established to provide sufficient annual revenue to cover the cost of repairing and operating the lots as well as constructing new spaces. In order to keep those fees as inexpensive and equitable as possible, all users - and that includes those who work here - share the costs.

Parking Meters

Close-in, short term, day or night parking is available at $1.50 per hour with a two hour limit. Meters are located in various areas throughout the campus for your convenience. Meters are enforced Monday-Thursday 7:30am to 8:00pm and Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm

Parking Permits

If you need to come to campus frequently, you may want to purchase a parking permit at the Parking and Transportation Services Department. If your visits to campus are less frequent, you may stop at the Information Center or Parking and Transportation Services Office and obtain a daily permit. The daily permit price for 2008-2009 is $3 for Green Zones and The West Stadium Parking Complex, and $5 for the Silver - Brian J Whalen Garage.

Deliveries

Deliveries may be made at any loading zone located throughout campus free of charge. You need to make sure that the handle is turned to get the free 15 minutes at the loading zone. Service vehicle stalls may also be used as 15 minutes loading zones. However, you must first obtain a FREE Temporary Service Vehicle Parking Permit prior to parking in service vehicle stalls. These are available at either the Information Center, or the Parking and Transportation Services Office, and are good for 15 minutes.
