Visitor parking

The campus parking system is a self-supporting enterprise. We receive no state appropriations, as state policy prohibits the use of tax dollars to support the system. Therefore, all parking expenses are paid by parking permits and fees purchased by students, faculty, staff, visitors and others who park on campus. Parking fees are established to provide sufficient annual revenue to cover the cost of repairing and operating parking lots as well as constructing new spaces. In order to keep those fees as inexpensive and equitable as possible, all users including those who work here share the costs.

Parking permits are granted for the purpose of transportation to and from campus only. Overnight parking on campus is prohibited unless you are a campus resident student with the appropriate permit.

Pay-by-phone parking

The University of Nevada works with PayByPhone to let you pay for vehicle parking in seconds at the University of Nevada, Reno. This service is currently available at parking locations across the campus, providing a completely cashless solution that reminds you when your parking session is about to expire, and even lets you extend your parking time from anywhere! PayByPhone is convenient, easy and secure.
