Office of Sponsored Projects

Limited Submissions

Some funding agencies limit the number of proposals a university may submit for a given award. Consequently, if the Office of Sponsored Projects receives more proposals than are allowed for any one limited submission, all submissions will be internally reviewed to determine which will be forwarded to the funding agency.

Below is a list of limited submission programs. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a comprehensive list.  New programs are developed and existing programs evolve. If you plan to submit to a  program not on this list, you must contact the Office of sponsored Projects.

Every effort will be made to maintain current and accurate information within this list; however, the awarding agency’s posted information remains the final authority.

If you have any questions, please contact your pre-award analyst or Michelle Johnson (mhoyt@unr.edu).

Internal Submission Guidelines

Some components of a submission may be different than others. However, most submissions will require a cover page with the following information included:

  • Project Title
  • Name of the Principal Investigator (PI)
  • PI Contact Information, Including College and Department
  • Names of All Key Personnel
  • Key Personnel Contact Information, Including College and Department

Most submissions will also ask for a half page summary of the project that explicitly addresses the aims of the sponsor's request for proposals and a project narrative not to exceed five (5) pages. A Cirriculum Vitae (C.V.) may be required on proposals requesting more than one million dollars. All submissions are due to the Nomination Committee four (4) weeks prior to the sponsor's submission deadline unless otherwise posted by OSP.
