Long-Term Newberry Fellowships in the Humanities

“The Corporation and the Center will name up to three scholars or experienced practitioners to spend nine months conducting research on topics such as the relationship between democratic institutions and nonprofits, the role of service in society, and civic engagement and public policy.”

For Ph.D. holders and candidates from outside Chicago, support residence from one to eight weeks during academic year 2002 - 2003 and provide a small stipend ($1,200 monthly) for research based on the collections of the Newberry Library.
