OISS does not have copies of the driver's handbook needed for the written test. You can pick up a free paper copy at the local DMV or you can get a free copy online:

Your drivers license can be renewed until the end of your status, and they are typically given for four years. You will need to go to the DMV in person to renew your driver's license, but you will not need to take the written and driving tests again. You cannot renew your driver's license on-line.
No, you must go to the DMV in person. You can view or download the driver's handbook on-line or you can go to the DMV to get a copy. The written test is given on a "first come, first serve" basis. Once you have completed the written exam, they will schedule you for a driving test.
It costs $22 to obtain a driver's license. The cost for a Nevada identification (ID) card is $12. You may pay by cash, check, or credit card.
They should bring: their passport, I-94 card, previous driver's license or other ID. They can receive a driver's license or ID with,or without a social security number.
