International Student Admission Application

International Student Admission Application is applicable to all international undergraduate, graduate, and transfer students.

Financial Data Form

International students admitted to UNR need to submit a signed Financial Data Form accompanied by an original bank statement verifying the minimum total as stated on the expenses page to receive I-20/ DS-2019 form. Financial data form and bank statement are good for one year only.

Transfer Verification Form

Students transferring from another school within the U.S. must submit a completed Transfer Verification Form.

Request for Airport Pickup

With prior notification of at least two weeks we can arrange to have someone meet you at the airport to transport you to temporary housing.

AR-11 FORM

Alien's Change of Address card. Use this form to report changes of address. You must submit this form within 10 days of a change of address.

Request For On-Campus Employment

Instructions and department form for the social security letter needed to obtain a social security number for on-campus employment.

I-20 Request Form

Use this application to request the I-20 in the following circumstances: change of funding, change of major, program extension, change of progran level, reinstatement, or request for dependents.

Reduced Course Load

If you plan to enroll in fewer credits due to a graduate assistantship or other special cirucmstances, you must first come to OISS to apply for a reduced course load. Classes that are audited or repeated are not included in the 12 or 9 credits necessary to satisfy US Citizenship and Imigration Service (USCIS) requirements.

Program Extension

Students unable to complete their academic program before the expiration date listed on the I-20/DS-2019, must apply for program extension.

International Student Award

Partial scholarship for full-time, undergraduate UNR students using F-1 or J-1 visa status.  Students must be both full-time students at UNR during the semester prior to and during the semester of the International student award.

Wilter Ocampo Scholarship

Partial scholarship that pays for a portion of the out-of-state tuition (non-resident tuition) for the semester for which the award is granted.

Wilter Ocampo was an alumnus of UNR; he received a B.S. in Accounting and CIS in 1986, and an M.S. in Computer Science in 1989.  Wilter was a Bolivian citizen and was a Bolivian National Motor Cross Champion for several years.  He died during a motor cross championship race on June 20, 1999 at the age of 36.  His wife, Lucia, established this scholarship with the hope that other young Bolivians might have the same opportunity to study at UNR.

Kayoko Okumoto

Partial scholarship that pays for a portion of the out-of-state tuition (non-resident tuition) for the semester for which the award is granted.

The Kayoko Okumoto Scholarship was established in memory of a student from Japan who studied Business and History at the University of Nevada, Reno.
