Friday, September 4th, 2009 6:00-8:30PM A famous event for locals and visitors in the Reno-area. Held in Downtown Sparks, the Rib Cookoff is a competition of fire-roasted ribs. Food available includes Pork and Beef ribs, BBQ corn, fried potatoes and unique American festival food. There is free music, with country arts & crafts for sale. It is suggested you bring about $15 if you want to purchase ribs and food. The event itself is free to enter. Free transportation for international students and scholars.
