The only constant in the world is change - and few researchers in the world understand this concept better than Graham Kent, director of the Nevada Seismological Laboratory.

Kent's studies in the seismology of the Sierra Nevada have confirmed Medieval mega-droughts in the Sierra from 800 to 1250 A.D., and have discovered and quantified ancient tsunamis at Lake Tahoe that will occur again.

He has introduced cutting-edge underwater technology through digital CHIRP sonar to map beneath bodies of water, paving the way for the field of underwater paleoseismology to blossom.
