American Association of University
Professors
The American Association of University Professors (AAUP) is
the parent organization of NFA with which NFA is affiliated. It was
founded in 1915 and currently has more than 44,000 members nationwide
through local chapters across the United States. Its main mission is
to protect academic freedom, promote shared governance, safeguard
tenure, and defend due process.
