Launched while were at the ARLISS competition. Very heavy smoke due to forest fires in California, as evident in all the pictures. This was primarily to test a new (lightweight) payload configuration for our digital SLR camera (still LEGO NXT controlled). The failure of one of our carabiners, prompted us to conduct a set of tests to evaluate which carabiners were appropriate for ballooning.
