This is the GPS we include in our cutdown payload.  It's very lightweight.

Pros

It costs $50 if you buy it without the development kit.

Very lightweight because it's just the GPS circuit board and an antenna. No LCD or battery.

100 mW @ 3.3V

Operating temp -40 to +85C

Only 1"x 1" x 1/4"

Cons

Only takes between 3.0-3.6 VDC

Hard to tell if and when it's working because their is no LCD.

Doesn't have a built in antenna. So you need to include a trailing antenna which doubles the size and mass.

Outputs TTL level voltage and signal so if your equipment works off of serial you may need to get a circuit to boost the voltage level to RS232 levels.
