University names VP Health Sciences and Medical School Dean

Thomas L. Schwenk has been named vice president of the University's Division of Health Sciences and dean of the University of Nevada School of Medicine. His appointment follows on an impressive career highlighted by active clinical practice, an extensive publication record, teaching, visiting professorships and administrative experience.

NFA, Faculty Senate honor Raggio, talk budget

Raggio, who retired earlier this year following a record-setting 38-year tenure in the Nevada State Senate, was honored by the Nevada Faculty Alliance and Faculty Senate with "A Hero of Higher Education" award for his commitment and advocacy for higher education in Nevada.
