The University of Nevada, Reno's Joe Crowley Student Union will welcome Blind Onion Pizza & Wings this summer. The Blind Onion will be located in the student union's restaurant location on the third floor. Former occupants of the restaurant, Cantina Del Lobo, will move to the food court on the second floor of the student union.

"As a restaurant who has seen a lot of business from University students and faculty over the years, we're excited about this opportunity to serve the University community more directly through this location," Michael Rapisura, owner of the Blind Onion, said. "The space will allow us to accommodate both large and small groups, events, meetings and more."

The menu for Blind Onion Pizza & Wings will include pizzas, pizza by the slice, salads, sandwiches and a large variety of wings. Wing flavors will include a number of savory, spicy and sweet selections. The full kitchen at the student union also allows the restaurant to expand the menu to include some pasta and grilled items. Rapisura said they are also exploring the possibility of offering breakfast.

For orders between $25-100, Blind Onion will deliver across campus, with larger orders available for pick-up. Rapisura mentioned the restaurant will be hiring part time positions soon. Students interested in working at the Blind Onion Pizza & Wings in the Joe Crowley Student Union should apply by dropping their resume off to his 3605 Kings Row location.

After seven years in the student union's restaurant, Cantina Del Lobo owner Justin Quinton is excited to move to his new location inside the student union's food court. At this location, Quinton will focus on key menu items including burritos, tacos, salads, smoked and rotisserie meats, and fresh local produce.

"Del Lobo will continue to be a solid food choice for both students and faculty," Quinton said. "We'll be offering a lower price point while remaining conscious in offering top quality ingredients."

Both new locations plan to open this summer.
