United Way campaign enters homestretch

Campus community members have until Nov. 19 to make donation

The 2014-2015 United Way Campaign is on the homestretch, and runs through Nov. 19. This year, the University is working with the United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra as well as the United Way of Southern Nevada campaigns to raise funds. Last year, University employees contributed $20,143.

United Way focuses on providing building blocks for a good quality of life: education, financial stability and health. This year's campaign directly impacts our local community. A contribution will help improve the quality of life for those that need assistance in Nevada.

Employees interested in participating in the campaign should return their completed pledge form to the address noted on their pledge form by Wednesday, Nov. 19. As part of the campaign process, incentives are being offered. Employees who make a pledge of $25 or more will be eligible for a drawing to win special prizes. Special prizes include tickets to the Planetarium, gift certificates from the Nevada Wolf Shop, School of the Arts concert/theatre tickets, Men's Basketball VIP package with tickets, and a gift certificate for a professional development course from Extended Studies, among other items.

Winners will be notified by Dec. 5.

Information is available for both United Way groups.
