The University of Nevada School of Medicine and the Division of Health Sciences welcome Joe Reeder to the Office of Institutional Advancement in the position of web communications specialist.
In this capacity, Reeder will be responsible for reviewing and updating content on both the division and medical school websites.
Reeder comes to the University from for HALL Wines in Napa Valley, where he served as marketing specialist, and later head of marketing. There he was responsible for the winery's direct-to-consumer marketing efforts, including brand building, email marketing, social media, website development, ecommerce, advertising, public relations and creative services. He helped the company achieve year-over-year sales and membership growth, even through years of economic recession. In 2011, Reeder helped launch a new pinot noir brand called WALT Wines - which included leading the development of a new website and hundreds of pages of fresh web content.
While with HALL Wines, Reeder also specialized in customer relationship management administration, leveraging enterprise tools such as Salesforce.com and Magento to drive sales and membership opportunities.
A native of Fernley, Reeder earned his bachelor's of science degree in marketing from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2006. While at the University, he worked as a production assistant for KRNV-TV News 4, operating studio cameras, running audio for live broadcasts and serving as video editor.
