All of the tell-tale signs that a new semester is beginning at the University of Nevada, Reno are there.

The freshly mowed Quad.

The stacks of new books awaiting owners in the bookstore of the Nevada Wolf Shop in the Joe Crowley Student Union.

The small groups of students, campus maps in hand, who have wandered onto the state's oldest institution of higher learning to scope out where their classes will be located when instruction begins on Monday, Aug. 26.

Faculty, who reported for work earlier this week, have already been in meetings and retreats in preparation for the work to come.
