Buk, Southern Area director, to assume interim position Aug. 23

Provost Heather Hardy recently announced that Jerry Buk has been named interim dean and director of UNCE.
Provost Heather Hardy recently announced that Jerry Buk, Southern Area director of University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, has accepted the offer to become interim dean and director of UNCE.
Buk will assume his duties Aug. 23 when Dean Karen Hinton steps down after serving as dean and director since 1998.
Buk has 35 years of experience in Cooperative Extension in a variety of leadership roles in both rural and urban settings and in three states.
He has served as the Southern Area director since 2010, and before that as the Central/Northeast Area director from 1997 to 2010.
