Einstein Bros. Bagels, a bagel and coffee chain, will celebrate its grand opening at the University of Nevada, Reno Joe Crowley Student Union Tuesday, April 12. Doors open at 7 a.m. at the second-floor entrance on the north end of the Joe Crowley Student Union. Random guest treats will be given to customers throughout the day until closing at 7 p.m.

"We are very excited to have Einstein Bros. Bagels occupy our final vending location at the 15th Street Café," said Chuck Price, director of the Joe Crowley Student Union. "They bring great quality and great tasting food with fresh ingredients. I think students sometimes like to have healthier menu choices."

Einstein Bros.' diverse menu offerings include its world-famous freshly baked bagels, signature sandwiches, fresh-baked breads, home-style soups, tempting sweets and artisan-roasted coffee.

Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, Inc. is a leading company in the quick, casual restaurant industry that primarily operates and licenses locations under the Einstein Bros. and Noah's New York Bagels brands and primarily franchises locations under the Manhattan Bagel brand. The opening marks the second of seven Einstein Bros. Bagels shops that Reimer will operate in Reno and throughout northern Nevada.

In addition to serving "darn good food," a restaurant tag line, another goal of Einstein Bros. Bagels is to give back to the community.

"Our bagels have a four-hour shelf life and we hate to see them go to waste," said Liz Rico, manager of the new University Einstein's and a 2008 Nevada alumna. "So instead of throwing them out at the end of the day, we encourage local nonprofit organizations to get in contact with us so we can arrange for them to be picked up and used for a worthy cause."
