The University of Nevada School of Medicine’s Department of Family and Community Medicine offers a convenient on-campus option for University of Nevada, Reno employees when making health care decisions.
Located on the north end of campus at the intersection of East Stadium Way and 17th Street near Mackay Stadium, the Family Medicine Center offers primary health care services for University employees and their families as well as the general public.
“We offer a unique opportunity because we are located on campus and can be used by UNR employees,” said Daniel Spogen, M.D., faculty physician and chair of the department. “As part of University Health System, the clinical practice of the School of Medicine and the largest multispecialty practice in the state, we are equipped to deliver ‘cradle-to-grave’ health care services.”
Family Medicine Center physicians are board certified according to strict medical standards that indicate expertise in their fields and offer primary care services for men, women, teens and children. The Family Medicine Center provides obstetrical and sports medicine care and includes on-site laboratory testing and radiological services. In some cases, same-day appointments are available and a variety of insurance plans are accepted.
“Families receive personal high quality primary care while having direct access to our specialty resources to offer peace of mind when it comes to obtaining complete health care,” said Spogen.
The Family Medicine Center is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 784-1533 for an appointment or log on to: UHS Nevada.
