Holcombe promoted to practice plan executive director

University Health System, the clinical practice of the University of Nevada School of Medicine, recently promoted Jennifer Holcombe to executive director of practice plan operations north.
Holcombe brings 13 years of healthcare experience, including previous positions with UHS where she began in the internal medicine clinic as the manager, moving to director of clinical services.
Holcombe’s new position provides direction for the all of the day-to-day operations of the UHS practice plan and provides administrative and strategic direction including planning, monitoring and managing the overall operations. She will provide leadership, direction and administration of all aspects of clinical activities to ensure quality delivery of healthcare services and educational opportunities for residents and medical students. In this position, Holcombe, who has an M.B.A., is responsible for ensuring the physician offices operate in a financially sound, appropriate manner, and are adequately staffed. Additionally, she will provide leadership for the organization and provide strong management and financial skills to encourage and develop growth.
