The Staff Employees' Council has named Travis Hamrick, an employee in the purchasing department and Mary Miller, an employee in Facilities Services department as July's Classified Employees of the Month.
Travis Hamrick and his student workers deliver excellent customer service in all aspects of the Surplus Property program. Travis does a very good job in making judgments pertaining to the usefulness of surplus items, to the benefit of the university, the community and the environment. Overall, the Surplus Property program has helped many departments on campus, in large part due to Travis’ prompt and courteous service.
Mary Miller has helped in putting together cleaning systems for different areas of campus. Mary was instrumental in setting up a system of cleaning the 4-H camp at Lake Tahoe on a twice a year basis. She has stepped forward time and again to not only offer her ideas but goes the extra distance to make sure that new plans are in place and a benefit to the campus community.
