August 19, 2008
By Sarah Purdy

University of Nevada faculty and staff are invited to participate in the University’s fall 2008 advanced Management program for a special discounted fee of $1,000 — a savings of more than 40 percent off the program’s early registration fee of $1,675 and nearly 50 percent off the regular fee of $1,875. University ID is required to receive the faculty/staff discount. Register by phone, (775) 784-4062 or (800) 233-8928, or in person at the Continuing Education Building.

The advanced management program is a certificate series for participants who want to update their knowledge and skills in business theory and practice. Designed for professional and personal growth, the program is a broad survey of subject areas typically found in business school MBA programs. It is recommended for those who wish to explore key management topics, learn essential business strategies and build on previous management training.

“The program features interaction with many of the nationally prominent faculty of the University’s College of Business Administration,” said Greg Mosier, dean of the college. Faculty for the program are current and former professors and lecturers from the University’s College of Business Administration.

The 12-session Advanced Management Program begins with a full-day orientation/workshop held Saturday, Sept. 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., followed by 11 evening sessions on select Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m., Sept. 16, Sept. 23, Sept. 30, Oct. 7, Oct. 14, Oct. 22, Oct. 28, Nov. 5, Nov. 12, Nov. 19 and Dec. 3, 2008. All sessions are held at the Redfield Campus.
