University rifle team defeats Air Force in season finale

The University of Nevada rifle team downed Air Force 4,528 to 4,527 at home in its season finale.

Nevada shot a 2,279 in small bore and 2,249 in air rifle. Air Force was close behind with a 2,231 finish in small bore and 2,296 in air rifle.

Freshman Martha Eisenhour shot a personal best and led the Wolf Pack with a 572 in air rifle. Freshman Kristi McGinley was a close second with a 566, which was also her personal best.
 
Junior Meghann Morrill and sophomore Andrew Hickey each shot a 571 in small bore to lead the Pack. Junior Lee Lemenager and freshman Heather Horn also shot well in the air rifle competition with scores of 568 and 569.

The next action for the Pack is the NCAA National Championships in Fairbanks, Alaska on Mar. 9-10. Nevada will be represented by Morrill and Le
