A "topping off" ceremony was held on Thursday, Dec. 6 for the $4.6 million Marguerite Wattis Petersen Foundation Athletic Academic Center at the University.
Steel work for the 7,000-square-foot facility, designed to provide Nevada student-athletes with academic resources, was formally completed on Thursday. The structure will house a state-of-the-art academic center for Wolf Pack athletes. To celebrate the completion of steel work, the last steel beam was signed and hoisted into place.
When the facility opens in April 2008, it will include an ADA ramp to Legacy Hall, and new connection combining both the new facility and the Nancy and Bob Cashell Football Center. The PENTA Building Group is spearheading the project.
