Mackay School offers commemorative 100th anniversary silver medallion

A limited edition medallion commemorating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno, is now available.

On June 10, 1908, the Mackay School of Mines was dedicated at the University, and over the past century the school has earned an international reputation as a leader in the mineral and earth sciences.

The Mackay Centennial Medallion, struck at the state mint in Carson City, is one troy-ounce of .999 fine silver. The silver is Nevada-born in every sense, having been mined from the Coeur Rochester Mine in Pershing County. Each medallion is numbered and carries the distinctive "CC" mark on the front. Cost is $50 per medallion plus shipping and handling.
