KUNR 88.7-FM has added a new weekly feature to its Morning Edition radio lineup. A Few Minutes with Milt, hosted by University of Nevada, Reno President Milton Glick, airs at 5:30 and 7:30 a.m. each Wednesday. The five-minute program covers timely topics, as Glick visits with guests from the University, the region and from across the country.
On the Nov. 28 program, Glick talked with Shannon Ellis, the University's vice president for student services, on how an engaging campus life outside the classroom impacts student success. Upcoming programs will feature a two-part interview with NCAA President Myles Brand and interviews with University researchers.
"The station's focus is serving our audience with strong, informative local programming," said David Stipech, KUNR general manager. "The University is an incredible resource for the region and the nation, with fascinating stories and a wide variety of experts. We're excited to have Milt and his guests on our airwaves each week."
KUNR is an independent, public radio station, based on the University campus. In addition to local news and National Public Radio and BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) programming, the station features classical music and jazz.
