NDL Food Composition Data
Data sets prepared by USDA-ARS's Nutrient Data Laboratory. These data sets can be downloaded to your computer and used in your programs. Some of the data sets available are the
USDA Nutrient Data Base for Standard Reference, Nutritive Value of Foods (HG-72), Sugar Content of Foods, the USDA Nutrient Data Base for Food Consumption Surveys(and data sets used to create it: Primary Nutrient Data Set, Recipe Files, and Nutrient Retention Factors) and data sets based on tables of special interest. It is recommended to copy those portions of of interest (e.g., codes for nutrients) in the reference manual to a text file that can be viewed while searching for particular foods.
