Nevada Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities

The Nevada Center for Excellence in Disabilities (NCED) and the Nevada Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities (NGCDD) are administered under the U.S. Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disability (OIDD) and are funded under Developmental Disabilities Act (DD Act). Developmental Disability Councils identify and address the most pressing needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in their state.

The Nevada Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities’ twenty member council funds a variety of projects including Partners in Policymaking, People First, the Employment Policy Summit, and Consumer Leadership. In addition, the Council monitors and advocates for legislative activity relevant to Nevadans with developmental disabilities.
