Swapping a Class

You can swap a class in your schedule if you have enrolled in one section and would like to take a different section. This is helpful when a previously closed section becomes available or your schedule needs to change. This option is so you don't have to drop the class section you are already in to try and enroll in the new one.

To swap a class, click on My Schedule on the MyNEVADA log in home page and then My Schedule again. This will bring you to the class schedule page. Click on the swap tab to continue.

Next, select a class to swap from the "Select From Your Schedule" drop-down menu. Then select either the class search option or enter the class number if you know it. You don't have to swap for the same class; you can choose to swap to a different course if needed.

In the class search, enter the course subject and course number. Click [Search]. Select the section of the course you are swapping for.

Review the course information to make sure you selected the correct class to swap for and click [Next].

Confirm the class you are swapping for and finish by clicking [Finish Swapping].

If the class was successfully swapped, you will see a success message and a green checkmark. If not, you will see an error message detailing why you were unable to swap for the class. To view your updated schedule, click [My Class Schedule].
