Enrollment Errors

You may come across enrollment errors when trying to add courses to your schedule.  This section details and explains the different types of enrollment errors.

Time Conflict - "Error: You cannot add this class due to a time conflict with class #####.  Select another class."

You are already enrolled in a class that meets at the same time as the class you are trying to add.  You must either select a different class to add, or drop the class in which you are already enrolled.

Requisites Not Met - "Error: Unable to add this class - requisites have not been met."

Prerequisites are courses you must complete, sometimes with a specific grade requirement, in order to enroll in a specified class.  In this case, you will not be able to enroll in MATH 182 unless you have completed MATH 181 with a "C-" or better.

Department Consent Required - "Error: Department Consent Required.  You must obtain permission to take this class.  If you have a permission number, click Add Another Class, click the class link, enter the number and resubmit."

Sometimes classes are restricted by a department for various reasons - they may be reserved for students in that specific major, or for students who must meet other requirements in order to enroll in the course.  To enroll in a course that is Department Consent Required, you must contact that specific department and inquire about the requirements to enroll in the course.  If you receive permission to enroll in the course, you may be given a permission number.  You will enter this permission number in the appropriate field when you add the class to your schedule on MyNEVADA.

Reserve Capacity - "Error: You are unable to enroll in this class at this time.  Available seats are reserved and you do not meet the reserve capacity requirements."

Reserve capacity seats are spots in a course that are allocated for specific student populations, such as students residing in a Living Learning Community, WISE (Women In Science and Engineering) students, or students in the Honors Program.  Sometimes a class may appear as if there are still open seats, but those seats may be reserve capacity spots for a specific population.  If you are not in the group that the reserve capacity is allocating seats for, you may not be able to enroll in that class.
