Research Interests

  • Hydrometallurgy of base metals, rare earths, precious and actinide metals;
  • Leaching, electrodissolution, liquid-liquid (solvent) extraction, liquid membrane, precipitation, and electrodeposition;
  • Rate of mass transfer and kinetics of chemical reactions;
  • Modeling of mixer-settlers and fluidized bed electrochemical reactors (dissolution and precipitation);
  • Modeling the chemical reaction systems in the in-situ leaching of minerals and in the liquid-liquid extraction of metals from aqueous solutions;
  • High-temperature chemistry, vaporization, sublimation, molten metal calorimetry, high-pressure high-temperature chemical reactions;
  • Oxidation of metals.
