Our Programs

An undergraduate uses the polymer injection machine.UNR offers B.S. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering as well as M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Metallurgical Engineering. Our faculty are leaders in education, research and national professional organizations. All are committed to our undergraduate students and program.

Our courses are taught by the faculty, not by teaching assistants, and course sections are small. You will get to know the faculty and your fellow engineering students in a small-group atmosphere, and develop personal and professional relationships that could last a lifetime.

Our laboratory and computing facilities are state-of-the-art and are undergoing continual upgrading. Our students use the industry-standard computer packages for process design and simulation. All students receive free email addresses and access to the internet as soon as they arrive on campus.

Our students are proud of our program. Our alumni come back to talk to our students about their career experiences, and to interview our students for internship and permanent positions.
