Senior Intern (senior research project) at the Billiton Maatschappij Suriname Bauxite Mining Company, Suriname, S.America.
- Determined semivariograms for parameters such as ore thickness, total silica, total alumina, iron etc.
- Made comparison of company’s grade estimation method (IDS) with results from kriging.
- Determined optimum drill hole spacing for grade control drilling.

WORK EXPERIENCE
October 2000-Present
Part time position with the USGS (US Geological Survey). Developed a relational access database( ACCESS 2000/SQL server 7) to store water quality and other general information on pit lakes.
January 1999-June 1999
Junior consultant for Cabema Holding, Suriname, S. America specializing in selling maintenance software packages based on an oracle database.
- Participated in training in SQL and PL-SQL programming languages for oracle databases.
- Was part of the team that did the conversion from a previous version of the maintenance software to a more recent windows version.
