Andrew F. Rael,  M.S., Remote Sensing Geophysics, 2003

Education

M.S.  Remote Sensing Geophysics, 2003
Department of Geological Sciences
University of Nevada, Reno, Mackay School of Mines, Reno, Nevada
B.S.  Geophysics, Minors in Physics and Mathematics, 1999
University of Nevada, Reno

Graduate Research

My studies included use of spaceborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging for geologic and geomorphic analysis. I employed multiband and multipolarization SAR image data to distinguish and delineate various landscape surface covers and possible relative age relationships of geomorphic features, based on radar backscatter and thus ground surface roughness.
